Election Time

Today I gave my students, in all 6 classes, the opportunity to vote for the President of the United States.

The first question most of my students asked was "does this really count?" I explained to them that Scholastic allows students to vote on Scholastic.com and then tallies the votes to see which candidate the students across America chose. They were so excited to vote. It didn't take them long and they thought it was awesome. I hope each of you will allow your students to vote.

Just go to scholastic.com:
1. click on Vote for President.
2. click on box next to the candidate you want to vote for

This will take you to a new screen where you will vote again. The students will be asked for their gender, state, age, and grade. Then they click on VOTE.

It took less than 5 minutes of each class period for all my students to vote.

Let me know if your students enjoyed the opportunity to vote. Polls close October 10th.
