ChampionKids Also Reporting at Olympics

U.S. vs. Canada hockey game a place to celebrate—at least for some!

McDonald’s ChampionKids are kids from around the world who have come to Vancouver to talk with athletes and experience the Olympics. They are also reporting on their experiences via personal blogs on the McDonald’s Champion Kids web site.

The kids were nominated by teachers and coaches and chosen by McDonald’s, an Olympic Winter Games sponsor.

The kids attended the U.S. vs. Canada hockey game on Sunday—a game that broke the hearts of the home country when the U.S. won 5-3.

After the game, I joined the group’s party and talked to Canadian Olympic Committee’s CEO Chris Rudge and President of McDonald’s Canada John Betts.

I also talked to two ChampionKids, Thomas Walsh of the United Kingdom and Desirèe Galland of Canada. My report is on this video—just click on play to watch!
