I just got back from San Francisco, and while I was there for a conference I was also finishing writing tips for summer reading. My visit to the relatively new California Academy of Science was a real inspiration. The signage was so interesting and informative. And the exhibits in the Aquarium, Rainforest and African Hall are compelling. One of the most spectacular spaces is the “Living Roof”. The ground is on top of the structure.
The whole experience reminded me that museums are such special places for seeing, learning and reading (and writing tips). And if you can’t be there in person, visit the website at http://www.calacademy.org/.
