HELP!
If your district’s help desk is overwhelmed or can’t handle the variety of hardware and software that’s in use, outsourcing part or all of it can keep every machine up and running. McAfee’s PlumChoice is a remote helpdesk service that covers everything from Windows Vista crashes to diagnosing a bad hard drive on a student’s notebook. The key is that PlumChoice’s advice and assistance is available 24 hours a day on an as-needed basis and charged in 15 minute intervals. For example, a school might buy 150 minutes of help a month for $140 or a district might book 1,500 minutes of helpdesk time for $1,400. On the downside, the service doesn’t cover Linux computers.

Just a correction - the service now covers Macs. We are expanding all the time and want to make sure the information is correct. Thanks for the clear coverage of our stellar service.
