Getting the Word Out

The next time there’s a snow day or a school play that needs publicizing, forget about the PTA’s phone tree and all its problems. Phonevite can automatically get the word out about closings, school activities or even the need to send in health forms. The basic program uses the latest Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) telephony to call 25 numbers at a time and is free for schools to use. Phonevite’s Premium service can make up to 2,000 calls at once and costs the school or district 5 cents per completed call. The service can even take RSVP responses for school events.
