Keeping Current in the Classroom

The hardest part of teaching? Grading tests, dealing with paperwork or getting the janitor to clean-up thoroughly? Nope, it’s staying current with the latest ideas in teaching and how to handle the transition to a digital clasroom. With help from the National Science Foundation and the International Society for Technology in Education, Excelsior Software’s Pinnacle Suite offers four online professional development courses that range from using digital age learning and how to avoid over-identifying kids as in-need of special services to using visible thinking and using IT as a strategy for improving schools. They each are good for continuing education credit, cost $450 each and includes access to the Pinnacle Suite, including its assessment, gradebook, curriculum, supplemental resource, and administrative tools.
