FREE-BEE FRIDAY: Exploring Africa

Explore africa Admit it, Africa gets short shrift when it comes to elementary, middle and high school geography classes with most students (and teachers) unable to tell the difference between Botswana and Burkina Faso. That can change with a series of free movies from Explore Africa Today about Africa from the Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa, the United States Agency for International Development and the Discovery Channel. You’ll have to register but its well worth the effort because the site has a letter about the project, lesson plans and the ability view a series of movies about the environment, education, arts and culture as well as other African topics.
