It isn’t often that a product from Brookstone shows up in Tech Tools, but the iConvert is the right tool for the right job. Basically, it’s a sheet-fed scanner for turning all sorts of papers and documents into digital images for the iPad and the classroom. The device is a small cylinder that works with either the original iPad or the iPad 2 and weighs less than 1.5-pounds so it can be shared by several classrooms. It creates 300dpi scans of everything from a test to share with parents to a photo of a field trip for the school’s Web page and doubles as an iPad stand. iConvert will cost $150 when it goes on sale later this month.
