Learning Ecology by Doing

The best way to learn a subject is to immerse yourself in it and the Ecology Summer Workshop 2012 uses the Appalachian mountains as its classroom. The course costs $490 and includes help writing a curriculum, hands-on lesson plans to take back to your school, lab experiments and experience in performing the new AP Biology labs. Topics include population dynamics, water, energy, biodiversity and field ecology and includes field trips to a water treatment plant, landfill and a green building. The class runs from June 25 to 29 in Asheville, NC.
