What if you could digitally record any TV
show and then have students watch it when they can on a tablet or PC? That’s
the idea behind Simple TV, a small box that takes in an HD broadcast signal,
letting you record any show on an external USB hard drive. Then, the magic
starts with Simple TVs ability to play it back on an iPad, Web browser or Roku
device. The basic service is free, but scheduled recording from an online
programming guide costs $5 a month.
