stand-alone scanners are getting scarce in classrooms, Epson’s Perfection V370
Photo Scanner is a cut above and good for a variety of tasks. Capable of
turning an original into a sharp 4,800 by 9,600 dot per inch digital image, the
V370 has LED lighting for no warm-up scanning, includes a transparency holder
and comes with a copy of ArcSoft’s Windows Scan-n-Stitch software. It costs
$120.
