Dig like a Mayan
Dig-It’s Mayan Mysteries is
a great way to teach fifth-through-ninth graders about archeology and the lost
Mayan Empire. Structured like a puzzle, students unearth details of the lost
civilization and put the pieces together as a group or on their own. There are
games, comic books and animated sequences to help the kids with
geographical concepts, reading comprehension, science and math skills. The game
has a built-in Teacher Management System to track how each kid is doing. It costs $22 for the PC, $10 for an iPad
or $300 for a classroom license that covers up to 30-students.
