Freebee Friday: Getting Creative For Less

457px-Adobe_Creative_Suite_2_logo.svgWhile there’s a lot to be said for having the latest software, the current Adobe Creative Suite sells for between $450 and $1,300 per copy, depending on which version is chosen. To its credit, Adobe has a better way for schools. The company has just posted the old, though still powerful, CS2 version as a downloadable freebee. It is available for the PC and PowerPC-based Mac computers and includes copies of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other programs. Of course, CS2 can’t compare with the abilities of the latest edition, but for many it will prove to be more than enough.
