Freebee Friday: Classroom Zombies
What would you do if zombies invaded your school? Get the class to grab their TI calculators and go through the special curriculum that uses zombies as a way to teach about everything from the parts of the brain to how to interpret statistics. It’s all courtesy of STEM Behind Hollywood and Dr. Steve Schlozman, a Harvard Medical School professor and author of “The Zombie Autopsies.” There are plenty of lessons, videos, worksheets and teacher notes with vocabulary and suggested activities for use in math and science classes. Look for similar treatments for superheroes, forensics and space in the coming weeks. The material is free and can be used with TI-Nspire CX graphing calculators as well as the Nspire Teacher and Student Software and TI’s iPad Nspire app.
