Stand Up Document Camera

Dewey_main_imageThe days of expensive document cameras may be numbered with Copernicus’s Dewey tablet holder. Basically, the stand sturdily holds a second- or third-generation iPad, which can be aimed and zoomed in on anything from a magazine article to a petri dish experiment. It can be set up in portrait or landscape mode and doubles as a slate stand. At $64 it costs a fraction of the document camera it can replace, but you will need to get an adapter to send the pad’s video to a projector or large monitor.
