Not anymore, with Texas Instruments’ Orion TI-84 Talking Graphing Calculator. The system starts with an off-the-shelf TI-84 and has a snap on Orion accessory that uses FonixTalk technology to provide haptic feedback when keys are pressed and tell the student what it is doing. The calculator upgrade costs $600 and can be connected to a Braille printer.
