Bright and Cheap

Casio projectorWhile hybrid projectors that use lasers or LEDs can save thousands of dollars over the life of the device, they have often come up short on brightness. With Casio’s Lamp-Free technology, the XJ-UT310WN puts a healthy 3,100 lumens on screen. The ultra-short throw projector can create a 6.5-foot image just 36-inches from the screen and uses a DLP chip to display WXGA resolution. It has a good assortment of connections as well as an optional WiFi connection to a tablet or phone. The best part is that the XJ-UT310WN is guaranteed for three years, while the lighting element is covered for five years and has a projected lifetime of 20,000 hours of use. It costs $2,000.
