Scholastic Kid Reporters Cover the Conventions

Eight members of the Scholastic Press Corps will be reporting live from the Democratic Convention in Denver (August 25-28), followed by the Republican National Convention in St. Paul (September 1-4).

Scholastic News Kid Reporters have been covering campaign events from their hometowns across the country since last spring. In the past 15 months, they have interviewed and written stories about their experiences with presidential hopefuls, such as John McCain, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Mike Huckabee, and Joseph Biden.

Stay tuned to the Scholastic News Election Blog for posts throughout the day with pictures and all the latest behind-the-scenes news.

Reporting from the conventions will be:

Democratic National Convention

  • Brock Domann, 9, from Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • JoJo Domann, 10, from Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Rylee Domann, 12, from Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Jack Greenberg, 11, from West Haven, Connecticut
  • Ashlyn Stewart, 13, from Salidas, Colorado

Republican National Convention

  • Michael Geheren, 12, from Huntley, Illinois
  • Aaron Silberman, 13, from St. Louis Park, Minnesota
  • Ben Silberman, 17, St. Louis Park, Minnesota
